Metric-based approach to assess sustainable manufacturing performance at manufacturing process levels

As new technologies have been changing the production scenario, sustainable practices stand out as possible solutions to harmonise industrial activities and biodiversity conservation for benefit of humanity. In this context, a proposal based on concepts Triple Bottom Line evaluating sustainability index will be presented in order fill some gaps literature models indices. The methodological approach consists developing indicators (KPI) which has basis measuring index. To verify applicability model, two companies apply metallic coating rolls sugar cane mills were assessed. According results, it was measure level each KPI, pillars general stands from other because allows: a) assessment stage process, b) application flexibility regardless type c) measurement according companies’ needs, d) ease speed execution factory floor, e) possibility computerisation.
